WCVF FM Hits the Web
As of approximately 9 p.m. Tuesday night, WCVF FM is now available worldwide via Live 365. Since 1978, WCVF has proudly served the Northern Chautauqua County region and looks forward to continue to do so. With webcasting capabilities, WCVF is primed to expand its audience, reconnect with alumni, give families a way to connect with sons and daughters, and raise its profile in the college radio world. Founded in 1978 by Dan Berggren, Fredonia Radio Systems is one of the few fully volunteer student-run public radio services left in the country. FRS is a public trustee maintained and funded by the State University of New York at Fredonia Student Association Government (via student activity fee.) The organization consists of WCVF, our non-commercial FCC licensed FM station located in Northern Chautauqua County; and WDVL, our campus cable-injected and web-cast station sanctioned under our IBS Membership. FRS provides a nurturing educational media industry environment that anyone and everyone can gain experience from and get involved in; whether they be students looking to break into the field or community members looking for a new hobby...no experience necessary!
